The Adoption Department at Waits & Brownlee has handled in excess of 3,000 adoptions over 25 years. We have handled adoptions and guardianships in Missouri in over 40 counties. In addition to representing adoptive couples, we have represented birth parents in the consent process and served as Guardian Ad Litem for children in the process.

We have assisted in private adoptions, foster adoptions, agency adoptions as well as foreign, adult and step-parent adoptions. We have extensive experience in the process of termination of parental rights. We have also handled interstate adoptions involving obtaining Interstate Compact Approval.
